HOW TO ESTIMATE THE CAPACITY OF AN ELEVATOR

To find the capacity of any elevator, it is necessary to ascertain
the contents of the cup in cubic inches, the spacing of cup on belt,
and the speed of the belt in feet per minute.  Then, proceed as
follows.  Multiply the content of the cup with multiplier given in table
below, the results will be the content in cubic inches of every
running foot of belt.  Multiply this by 60 which gives the discharge
in cubic feet, deduct from this amount, 10% to 25% for safe
capacity.
